so it’s a really cool place, a perfect Terlingua fit. It has a rustic cuteness and a nice outdoor patio. It’s just wasn’t too comfortable at the end of the day. Great desert location.

Be aware that she’s completely off grid. She’s solar powered independent and hence there is no AC. The evaporative water cooler that is available has its limits and won’t help in a rainy monsoon season. It’ll just make it more humid. It was at the high end of August temperatures. Nothing the proprietor could do about that but it made for difficult nights with lows in the high 80s.

No freezer. The propane cooler gets drinks to 50° but doesn’t work for food safety, freezer only 20°. No oven. Kitchen is outdoors so I mainly used the outdoor propane fridge to store my coffee and cereal away from any critters.

Cellular connectivity was intermittent and unreliable. Sometimes two stars. Sometimes it was SOS-status, wherever around the house I was.
