We had such a great time at the vinyl listening experience!
Olin gave us a fantastic overview of Japanese pop-soul music, highlighting the different styles and how the sound evolved across the decades. We even discovered tracks from the 70s–80s that were never officially released but turned out to be hidden gems - perfect for DJ sets or just relaxing with vinyl at home.
On top of that, Olin brought in some Indonesian jazz and other unique pieces, broadening the musical journey. He also explained how the record player assembly works and introduced us to mixing techniques. One of us even tried mixing two vinyls and had a blast!
We loved the intimacy of the event - even though it was in a public bar, it felt private, personal, and perfectly tailored for us. The whole evening left a lasting impression.
