It’s a beautiful place to feel the real living in Tuscany which is what I wanted. Garden needs some TLC, no heating at all and not able to use the fireplace was a bad situation. It got really cold at night, couldn’t heat the floors either and we couldn’t use shoes inside. This is during cold season of course. We couldn’t use the sauna either. I think there are too many rules.
Overall is a great vineyard and place. You feel like part of the family. But if you want to be close to restaurants and a town this is not for you. 20 mins on a dirt road to get there. If you get sick, it will be hard to get to a hospital. Again it’s a beautiful place to sense the Tuscany style
Hasiba and Francesco are great and very friendly, and helpful.

Wonderful small organic winery with an excellent host whom we learned a lot about organic winemaking. We tasted 7 delicious wines and we each received a plate with cheeses, meats and bread with olive oil. It was somewhat difficult to find and you did have travel for 20 minutes on a winding gravel road to get there so make sure you allow for plenty of time to get there.

My friend and I had a wonderful time visiting the winery, everyone we met was welcoming, and so kind, including the dogs! I would have loved to see more of the actual wine making process, that’s just the outdoorsy person in me, but I would definitely come back! Don’t forget to pick up a bottle of wine and they delicious olive oil before you leave, you won’t regret it!

Amazing. The views and setting will be permanent memories for us. The home was authentic Italian with ornate fixtures to a big functioning commercial kitchen to lovely outdoor seating with sweeping views.

The staff and hosts were all so thoughtful. Because as we did a tasting and cooking class we had interaction with a handful of wonderful humans. Francesco was our day to day with Ilaria helping us with our planning. They were the best.

Recommend taking the cooking class and spending time tasting the wines. We found people at other wineries raving about Montemaggio and for good reason. The team hosting us offered up a beautiful vintage from the owners wine cellar which made our last night really special.

Love the place and hope we get back.
