This was my first time to Italy and thank goodness I found Petra and her beautiful home. From the very first communication I knew that Petra was the right person to be staying with she was communicative and generous throughout. For a small fee, she even offered to pick me up at the airport because she knew how tired and disorientated I would be. Perfectly positioned it's only a 15 minute walk to downtown and to the train station which allows you to easily visit Pompeii Naples and Herculaneum. Also nearby are the gorgeous remains of villa Ariana. So you don't have to go far at all when you stay at Petra's see some of Italy's best preserved ancient history.

The breakfast was full of fresh fruit and and fresh produce everyday and she even cooked quite a few dinners and with our Google translate on her phones we were able to have wonderful conversations. The house is impeccable and the room has an Irreplaceable view. And the wonderful Petra makes you feel like you are right at home!

Staying with Petra was an amazing experience. I loved getting to know her and sharing meals with her. The place is beautiful and cozy and within walking distance of the train station.

Castellammare is a great place close to Pompeii and Ercolano but away from the chaos of Naples. It’s a short train ride to either place or Sorrento. The walk into town is downhill and only a few minutes but the trip back is uphill. Petra is a great hostess and treated me like a friend not just a guest. We cooked together and enjoyed many a good meal. She even took me up the gondola for a lovely hike on the mountain. I’m not sure if she will continue to host with Airbnb after the end of the year as there are new restrictions coming so if you are travelling to the Naples area before that, I would highly recommend you book with her!!
