Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had in Tokyo! The session felt so unique, and the sensei is highly renowned for his kintsugi work and knowledge - I came away with such an appreciation for the craft, and his student and wife were great guides in this too. Can’t recommend this enough!

For a truly authentic dive into Japanese culture and the art of Kintsugi, I wholeheartedly recommend this workshop with the esteemed Showzi-sensei. In four hours, we experienced the entire Kintsugi process through a clever method of working on multiple pieces simultaneously, which effectively demonstrated the patience and dedication this traditional art form requires.

It was an honor to learn from a master, surrounded by his beautiful work. The experience was made even richer by the excellent translation from his student and the fascinating cultural history he shared. The highlight was a traditional tea ceremony, where we drank from ancient cups the sensei himself had repaired with gold. It was an unforgettable experience. If you're seeking a genuine cultural exchange and a chance to learn from a master, this is it. I LOVED the workshop and i would strongly recommend to anyone interested in wabi- sabi and kintsugi. I learned so much on the day. This was the best experience from my 3 week travel though Japan.
