This was a really special experience in Mérida. I had a personal cooking class with Silvestre, who is very hospitable in sharing. He explained a lot about different types of salsas and chiles. Making the picaditas together from scratch was great and so very tasty.
He was really accommodating with changing some ingredients that I have food intolerances to.
We had two hours of fun and great conversation. His English is excellent and I felt very welcome in his home.
I highly recommend this experience.

Silvestre is a wonderful instructor—thoughtful, clear with instructions in English and Spanish, funny, knowledgeable. The food we prepared was delicious. We got recipes in writing after the class in case we forgot anything. The space is charming. Perfect in every way!
