2 heteWe had a great time with Hyeon. We had some amazing food with very interesting insights from our guide. The tour was very well paced, the little break in the middle with the museum was a wonde
rful idea. We learned and eat a lot. We couldn't have asked for a better guide.
P.s. There is quite a lot to eat, so I would recommend to eat very little to none before.

2025. júniusWe had a great day on the Explore Korean Food and Culture with a local tour hosted by the lovely Mi Hyeon.
We met and then walked to the first restaurant where we ate bimbibap which was delicious. The food, like most restaurants, was cooked at the table but what set this restaurant apart from others was the array of side dishes.
From there it was a short walk to the Korea Traditional Cultural Centre which hosts, among other things, an exhibition of traditional foods and explains how, why and when they are used. It really gave us a great understanding of how important food is to the history of Korean people and their love of pickled and fermented foods of all kinds.
From there we wandered the streets of the markets samplings sweet treats along the way. Mi Hyeon could not have been more accommodating. She is a great storyteller and she loves her country with a passion.
I would definitely recommend this tour if you are at all interested in Korean Food culture

2025. júniusWe had an amazing tour with Mi Hyeon, who brought Korean food culture to life. We started with a local bibimbap—fresh, colourful, and delicious.
Who knew a food museum could be so fascinating? It offered real insight into Korea’s food history, seasonal cooking, and farming traditions.
We wandered through bustling markets, sampling sweet local treats and passing stalls piled high with kimchi of every variety.
A perfect mix of tasting, learning, and exploring—highly recommended for anyone wanting to understand Korea through its food.
