3 heteA wonderful retreat minutes away from so many beautiful sights to see & visit. Dave was an incredibly helpful host, going above & beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. He was kind, proactive, and knowledgeable, and the set-up itself is incredibly well done- the pictures don’t do it justice! The larger tent/common space is well insulated, I worked at the table during a series of particularly windy days and the tent material didn’t let any of it through, I was perfectly & cozily protected from the elements “inside”. It rained a few days, pretty heavily, and once again no issues at all- no leaks, no animals trying to come inside & seek shelter- just peace & quiet. There’s nothing quite like the sound of a rainstorm hitting your tent while you have the heater going (which works very well!), I slept very well those nights. Overall, it’s such an incredible deal and truly worth booking if you’re thinking about it!

2025. júliusI had another great stay at Dave's place. This was the third or fourth time I've stayed there, so obviously I enjoy staying there. Although it's "just" a tent, it's loaded with amenities (workstation, refrigerator, sink, fan, etc.), plus I can do laundry in the house. The weather is usually better than San Francisco (sunny instead of foggy). I'll stay here again the next time I'm back in town (I grew up in the area) if it's available.

2025. januárThis was a really nice experience. The pier was calm and the crabbing was good our day: we caught about 1 crab per person and steamed them fresh on the pier. Dave went over the basics of trapping, gave us each a chance to throw out a trap and check it periodically, gave us pointers on safe handling of crab and told us about the various kinds we might find (and did find), along with crab anatomy and the legal regulations about what you can keep and must toss back.
