Stevie helped me make my dream come true. No, he didn't make me a famous comedian in one class, silly. That takes a lot of time and hard work, like the 30+ years Stevie has poured his heart and love into what he does.
Since I was a teenager (ahem, about 30 years ago), I had a dream of trying comedy, years spent rewriting and throwing away jokes. Stevie helped me conquer my fear and gave me an opportunity to participate in a supportive open mike event.
First, Stevie's class is set in an historical black neighborhood, Leimert Park. He tells the story of the area, its restaurants and shops, his class set in an delicious Vegan Soul Food cafe.
He then spends the session sharing his love of comedy. He gives you the nuts and bolts, showing you how to craft jokes. He even brainstorms with you, helping you polish them. He is also very supportive.
What Stevie does with his class is phenomenal. It is by far the best Airbnb experience I have done. Do yourself a favor and book it.
