Fantastic experience all-around. Robert is an excellent guide who adapted to my skill level and goals to set me up for success. He takes time to not only explain techniques for the painting at hand, but to give advice on getting into painting and how to shop for supplies. I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by this painting experience . This was booked as part of a getaway by my husband for myself and our 15 year old daughter. Neither myself or husband have any painting experience, however our daughter is relatively skilled.

Robert is a skillful facilitator with a calm and easy style. He put us all at ease and nurtured our abilities to create renditions of ‘Old Baldy’. We each came away with a portrait sized little treasure to remember our time. The three hour workshop is well worth the modest cost as Robert shares the fundamental techniques for acrylic painting.
We will definitely include a trip to Robert’s workshop on our next visit to Flesherton.

My wife and teenaged daughter and myself recently took Robert's afternoon landscape painting workshop. It was an absolutely wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Robert is talented painter in his own right -- he is also a fantastically patient teacher. He lead us through the step-by-step process of painting a landscape. We were schooled on colour theory as well as some painting tips and tricks. We walked away feeling more confident in our painting skills. He did an admirable job of gearing this experience to all levels of proficiency. A wonderful, very chill way to spend an afternoon.

The painting workshop was great. Robert is a talented artist and a good teacher. He painted along with me and gave helpful suggestions when I had questions. Several versions of the Old Baldy painting were available to serve as references. Also, when the official time of the workshop was over, Robert allowed me to continue painting on my own for awhile until I was more satisfied with my painting. I highly recommend this painting experience.
