Wonderful people, beautiful scenery, and peaceful atmosphere.

This adventure was AMAZING! Mia is extremely knowledgeable about alpacas and was open to sharing her knowledge while educating the group on how best to make our “own” alpacas happy throughout the trek. The forest was absolutely stunning as well. I highly recommend it!

We were a bit nervous about finding the place in the dark, but the parking spot and cottage were well-lit and very easy to find. Cottage looked exactly as depicted and was so comfortable, clean and cozy. Woke up the next morning and looked out the window to see the absolutely amazing view - one of the best views of our two week trip. Then went into the bathroom and saw so many adorable alpacas grazing in a beautiful pastoral setting. Couldn't wait to get outside and take it all in. Mia came out to see that all was well and was so friendly and helpful. It is about 20 minutes outside of Kenmare, but we found it to be well worth the view, alpacas and quaint cottage- which was small but incredibly well stocked with everything you could need. Had a great evening with impromptu singing at Helen's Bar. Be sure NOT to take the middle road that pops up on your GPS which at one point is basically two ruts in the grass - take the one to either side which are fine.

Mia and her funny alpacas provided such an interesting experience for us! Smudge, Dougal, and Herbie were all excellent guides through a much cared for moss laden forest. We enjoyed learning more about this forest haven from Mia, who along with her husband manages this beautiful property. Getting to know the special creatures and seeing Mia’s alpaca fiber creations were a special treat, too.
