Andrea's flat is full of art and personality in a very bohemian neighboorhood, so be prepared for noise, not only down in the streets but up in the adjacent flats. We knew that and it's ok, cause we were up to party. We arrived at night, both elevators were broken and remained like this for the whole weekend, so we had to go by stairs to the 6th floor. Arriving at the apartment there was no water due to some problem with the water supply in that area. On the next morning water was back and on the day after the pressure was very low. Also the light in the bathroom was not working, Andrea managed to haveit fixed the first morning. Maybe we had bad luck but it sounds more like the building is not well maintened and there's a water shortage in the city. Other place we stayed had a backup water tank for that. First time we arrived in Joburg someone told us "this city is broken" what later proved to be so right. But I believe some alternatives can be provided when you plan to make airbnb.

Absolutely amazing. Andrea is courteous, welcome and the consummate host. I would recommend any and everyone to spend at least a few days at her warm and homely apartment. Thank you Andrea.
