Unique experience and wonderful way to learn about Japanese traditions and history. Recommend for anyone interested in matcha and culture. Glad that the experience was on the shorter side because sitting on the ground was uncomfortable for us, so make sure you are able to do so for an hour.

The tea ceremony was so special and Aya shared so much context with care

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Kyoto! The ceremony took place in a beautiful traditional home, led by Aya who welcomed us warmly, was extremely knowledgeable and every detail felt meaningful. The matcha and sweets were delicious, and the atmosphere was peaceful and authentic. A truly special glimpse into Japanese culture!
