This is a tour you can do on your own. The hotel pickup and dropoff is a nice touch. But once we arrived at the ‘floating’ market - which is not a floating market, but on land. There are several food stalls and some small vendor/touristy items for sale. Our guide walked us around and explained some of the food and offered us the free samples. We had an hour prior to getting on the boat and the tour of the food stalls took all of 20 minutes. Then you board the long tail boat and ride to a temple and another market (very similar to the first), then the orchid farm where our guide took photos of us. We learned nothing about the canals the orchid farm, the temple, or culture. This is not a tour worth the money. Also, bring money (and tissue) for bathrooms - this was not included. We had to pay to use restroom. There is a lot of potential if it were actually guided and if they incorporated actual food tastings into tour - which should be able to be accommodated considering price of tour.

My partner and I loved the trip! Ben was super nice, friendly and knowledgeable. He took us in routes that not everyone goes and had the best insider knowledge. It truly was a special day. We can’t wait to do another activity with this host, one of the best experiences we’ve had!! Definitely a must do! Yes is touristy, but the very nature of it is, they really try to elevate it and now we are finishing our day in Bangkok with all the tips of places we learnt from Ben. Honestly mega mega awesome!
