Wir hatten einen tollen Abend mit Jaya, Avi und seiner Mama. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, uns wurde alles erklärt und wir durften beim Kochen helfen. Es wurde viel Rücksicht auf Essenseinschränkungen und Allergien genommen und auch auf den Schärfegrad und das traditionelle Essen danach zubereitet.
Die beiden sind offen und neugierig und es war wie ein Abend unter Freunden. Danke dafür, wir werden die beiden weiterempfehlen. LG Kira & Chris

it was a wonderful experience, and a great way to learn more about Mauritian culture. Jaya and Avi were welcoming, kind and knowledgeable hosts and it was an absolute pleasure to prepare this delicious meal with them. We would highly recommend this experience to other travellers as a must-do experience in Mauritius!

Very disappointing, even surreal at moments, does not meet the expectations raised, especially considering the total price of €280 for two adults (and our nine year old daughter).

Don’t want to be harsh, but the young ambitious entrepreneurial team aims to offer a five star experience but don’t come close.

We would have been fine with paying €50-75 per person but €140 per person is just out of touch with reality, even in Europe you would not pay these amounts for this experience.

We wanted to turn the car on arrival but decided to open up to the potential. The trip to the market and the fishmonger was a good part but halfway the cooking experience we wanted to leave.

Although they try, the cooking class was below average. Wish we would have booked Kot Marie Michelle that a friend recommended. The place where we stay, named Ottentic, have great Mauritian food and even provide cooking classes for free if you stay there!

All in all don’t go for this price, €70pp would be reasonable

I had a fantastic cooking experience with Jaya and Avi, who were very friendly and knowledgeable hosts. It was great to be welcomed with local vanilla tea while learning about different aspects of Mauritian culture, before heading to the garden for a tour of the herbs that are used in Mauritian cooking. The fish curry that we then made together in a karahi was absolutely delicious and was well worth the trip and the time. Jaya and Avi also gave me plenty of suggestions on other things to do in the area, which was very helpful and much appreciated. Thanks both!
