Hi, I'm from Mumbai and am a total travel fanatic. I love travelling in Europe and London is my favourite city of all time. I'm crazy about dogs, we have 4. Love all kinds of music except heavy metal (which is not really music in my opinion). Dance is my passion, mostly salsa, and I love food (all kinds but especially Italian) and beer. Heenaa's place is very cosy and comfortable. The house is tastefully designed and well equipped. Heenaa has taken a lot of care in incorporating things that people may need during their holidays. Heenaa was super supportive and responsive and kept guiding us and helping us whenever we needed her.

However, the experience was diluted as the caretaker was totally aloof and was no help whatsoever. The food was also average with hardly any choice.

Do go to the property if you are looking to disconnect yourself. There is nothing much to do except going for a walk to the lake which is pretty good.

Overall it was an interesting and fairly memorable experience though with a few disappointments.

The location is serene and perfect if you want to get away from urbania and be alone. There is a beautiful river 15 mins walk away from the house that was for us the highpoint of our stay...a perfect location for bird watching. The house is nice and cosy and compact, well decorated interiors and a functional kitchen. The bathroom was mordern and clean.

That being said we were disappointed that the house was not cleaned and dusted prior to our arrival, there was dust on the furniture both in the living room and the bedroom...that the bed linen was clean and fresh did not help as the room itself was dusty and this affected our sleep the first night as part of the bedding was laid on the floor. Hence we would have thought that the floor would atleast be clean but that was sadly not the case. Also on the second day a part of the main door gave way and broke, it was put back into place but not fixed and secured and we were forced to use the crash gate and lock the same inorder to feel safe.

I am kind of a person who likes to plan my trips well in advance and discuss concerns and other minute details well before departure, may it be short or long trip. In that sense I was totally disappointed for no pick ups of calls or messages by the host for fairly long time. This is despite host's own generous offer to call or text in case one wants to hold such discussions. Now, few hits and misses from my lens:
Hits: nice place and beautiful surrounding, well maintained from inside. Worth noting were the rustic and wooden furnishing and well decored bath. The place has good privacy since there is absolutely nothing around.
Misses: most importantly (for me) missing proactiveness - e.g. so-called caretaker never met us, he knew nothing and kept on directing us to either call host or his assistant in case we had any difficulty / need. While breakfast was supposed to have been included in the package but the caretaker never bothered to call us to check what would we have or when. It's different that we had already ordered the breakfast, meal and dinner from another place altogether. Property is huge and has its own natural beauty but it wasn't as lush green as it appeared in the photo. Perhaps that's because the monsoon season is well past and the greenery slowly fades. Nevertheless, it still is beautiful.
All in all, for me at least, it was an average experience.
