It was a cozy place perfect for my husband and I.

Good: wonderful view! Amazing landscape around and we loved the Billard room. Big kitchen, free parking.
Bad: There was no pool or whirlpool available, different to the description. The house seems quite old which brings an own flair, but you recognize it with the smell, and some doors, windows and lights dont work well.
For a family with 2 adults and 2 children the rooms are good. For 4 adults, two of them will not be very happy with their seperated and small beds.

The gatehouse was just as advertised. Fantastic views. It worked out perfectly for us. We were able to work remotely - the internet was very reliable. The location is central Maine, so we had reasonable access to the entire state, which we took advantage of. The neighborhood was busy, but we felt OK walking around it. Mia was always quick to respond to questions. Highly recommend!

The Poolhouse is cute and in an unbeatable spot. The pool was nice and it was a nice little walk to the grocery store and ice cream shop at the top of the hill. The evening breeze through the many screen doors was great. I kind of wish we'd seen another review about the early summer sunrise in the glass bedroom... a 5 am wakeup was not on the summer vacation list! Otherwise, it was very charming.
