Steve is a retired marine biologist that studies the dolphins in the waters of Choctawhatchee Bay and Santa Rosa Sound. Tara is a child development counselor and therapist. Our goal is to make our quaint home on the Sound into a special place where guests can enjoy a relaxing time viewing wildlife and appreciating the natural beauty of our waterfront Perrydice. We are happy to give visitors info on great local places to go and things to see.

We appreciated being able to have our dogs with us in a location and setting that allowed them private outdoor access.We also appreciated that the cottage was supplied with many amenities not often found in rentals, such as laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, dish soap, etc. That saved us a trip to go purchase those items upon our arrival.
The street noise didn’t bother us inside but was loud enough outside that we didn’t spend any time on the patio.
We didn’t take advantage of the use of the kayaks, canoe or paddle board (the sound was a bit too choppy a couple of days and the day it was calm we were at the beach all day) but that was also a very nice plus.
The location was an easy drive to Santa Rosa Island and Navarre beaches and other destinations.
We met Steve as we were walking around the grounds upon our arrival. He was very friendly and encouraged us to let him know if we needed anything during our stay.
