A comfortable stay overall and enjoyed the clean, minimal design of the house. The Ikea-style furnishings are practical and fit for purpose, and the layout has a pleasant open feel.

However, the property is perhaps not as “luxury” as described. The Scandinavian style, while attractive, doesn’t cope well with Lombok’s strong sun & heat. More shade blinds, parasols and stronger air-conditioning would make a big difference to comfort during the day.

Improved attention to detail regarding quality of appliances and kitchen utilities and bathroom amenity would go a long way.

Lina, the housekeeper, was outstanding—warm, welcoming & efficient. Her small team kept everything running smoothly and made us feel looked after.

In summary, a nicely designed home, with some wonderful views over the land towards the beach on one side & Gerepuk village and bay on the other.

With a few small improvements it could better meet expectations for a luxury listing but already a nice home to stay in.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in Gerupuk mit herrlichem Ausblick. Wir waren dort als Familie mit zwei Kindern und wurden von Herdis dem Villa-Manager freundlich empfangen. Herdis und sein Team waren jederzeit erreichbar. Mit einem Moped ist Lomboks Süden super zu erkunden und Kuta ist mit seinen Restaurants und Cafés in 15 Minuten mit dem Moped zu erreichen.

We had a wonderful family stay at Villa Varvet. Herdis (Lombok Villa contact) was very responsive in the lead up and helped us organise a driver for our stay. Lina and team were wonderful - kept the place very clean and helped with organising onsite chefs to cook meals.
Villa is perched high on hillside with great view though walking to beach with little ones not really practical - hence we organised a driver. Highly recommended.
