Our eight night stay got off to a bumpy start. We were upset to find issues with cleanliness along with a rodent problem on the upper roof that resulted in disruptive noises during the night. We were happy that Jeffrey took both concerns seriously and provided us compensation along with taking action and creative problem solving. While the first few days were stressful we settled in and enjoyed the remainder of our stay.
It is always nice for us to be in a place that has unique personal touches. Pottery, furniture, art that adds aesthetic pleasure. Quality pots and pans, books and live plants add to a homey atmosphere.
We got a kick out of learning it was tarantula mating season after seeing several on the patio. Edge of the wilderness!

Absolutely stunning home and surrounding area! I loved sitting amongst the birds in the beautiful sitting areas. Jeffrey had a great hike suggestion for us. The night sky was incredible too. The home was very comfortable and I slept well. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking all of our meals. Thank you for a great stay!

We had the most wonderful 3-night stay in this gorgeous, authentically furnished adobe on the edge of the wilderness near Dixon. The setting was serene and magical, with hummingbirds flitting by and views that invited you to slow down and breathe. The house itself was so thoughtfully and beautifully equipped—we truly could not have hoped for anything more. Everything we needed was here, and more; my sister and I felt so comfortable that we could easily have stayed much longer. A perfect, peaceful escape that I would return to in a heartbeat.

This place is amazing. The house itself is so unique and we loved the little room with the writing desk. It felt like a monastic cell, but in a good way. The design of the place is so cool! I loved the watermelon theater (at least that’s what I’m calling it) and the Alice in Wonderland door that leads to the patio from the bedroom. And then there’s the location which is unbelievable! You are surrounded by the most amazing views of the desert and all you need to do is look out a window or lounge on the pergola to take it all in and experience the magical sunsets. We will definitely be back. I was so sad we had to leave!
