Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Wir wurden am Hafen empfangen und ein Esel hat unser Gepäck nach oben getragen. Der Fußweg nach oben ist machbar, vor allem wenn es nicht zu heiß ist. Die Betten waren sehr gemütlich und das Haus gut ausgestattet.

Terry’s place is special: serene and beautiful, it feels like an artist’s house, perched gently between the sea and the hills. We had everything we needed. The kitchen is well-equipped (also with olive oil, coffee etc), and the bedrooms are comfortable and full of light. We did not mind the walk into the port, in fact it became a lovely part of our day, strolling down for a coffee at one of the bakeries on the waterfront, greeting feline friends along the way. Cats are very much part of life on Hydra, and they are well-looked after thanks to the local charity Hydra Arc. We loved having the company of one or two of them when we relaxed in the garden. For us, the house was perfectly positioned, a retreat from the hustle bustle of the port while still being close to shops and restaurants. We didn’t meet Terry but she responded promptly and clearly to our questions beforehand. Sue, who met us when our ferry arrived, was helpful throughout our stay. Sad to leave, we hope to return!

I really enjoyed my stay at this Airbnb—it was very nice and comfortable. The only downside was the location, as it’s quite far from the port and the walk can be hard and exhausting. That said, the home itself is lovely, cozy, and well-kept, and the host was incredibly kind and attentive.
