The house was beautiful and the view of the harbor was our favorite part. Everyone who helped us leading up to and through out the week was great. Laurence, Tiny, Christal and especially Rosalind were all super friendly and helpful. We would absolutely return to the island and Laurence’s house again.

Gorgeous house at the top of Mt. Pleasant Road. Every morning, a bay view was spread before us (it changes daily as the yachts and sailboats come in and out) and a small swimming pool to cool off at the end of a hot day. If you’ve got strong thighs, we also jogged the roads near the house, but it is quite hilly.

One thing to note is that the house is very “open” plan with large doors that create wonderful indoor-outdoor living. And the bedrooms have this same feeling with doors that opened to the back patio. The property isn’t fenced in. And there are no screens in the windows or doors (and no A/C). This means lots of fresh air… and lots of wildlife visitors. We had many lizards, large moths, caterpillars, a neighborhood cat, a rather large stray dog, many hungry mosquitos and one very annoyed hummingbird that got stuck in the master bedroom. You get used to it.

We didn’t have a car, so we befriended a fabulous taxi service — Curtice Taxi (ask for Pearlette!).

Lovely place high up with fantastic views across the bay. Really well appointed kitchen with provisions provided which we didn’t expect at all and really appreciated.

Downsides: Pool now needs attention as stones are falling/have fallen off so a bit dangerous and sharp.

There are a lot more mosquitoes than we expected so perhaps some coils or more screens would help although they were around day and night.

Unfortunately we were called back home suddenly because of a death in the family which was terrible so we couldn’t be there for the whole time and had to leave a friend there on their own so we weren’t able to enjoy a full week.

I would recommend as it is beautiful but perhaps not as quiet as we thought it might be. Quieter down by the beach. However an amazing place for family or friends to stay.

We stayed at Latovah for 9 days, with friends and family, while we were in Bequia for our wedding. A taxi was arranged for us on arrival and we had rum punch and callaloo soup waiting for us, which was a lovely touch.
The villa is beautiful, with stunning views of the island and was a great place to spoil ourselves! And minor issues (no iron) were sorted within 24hrs and Rosalind the housekeeper was kind and helpful.
We hired a car while we were there (50usd per day), as it's quite a walk - or used taxis. Laurence put us in contact with the hire company and they also arranged a local licence.
Laurence was really responsive and kindly allowed us to have a BBQ for friends and family, it really was the best venue!
It did get quite hot at night, but we expected that due to the climate.
