First impression: Upon arriving at the front door I felt very Chicago-esque, upon walking into the space I was delighted by how spacious the shared living areas were, how despite any bad weather outside that the space always seemed sunshine filled.
Shared bathroom: Although it is a shared bathroom, there was not a single instance in which I was waiting, and honestly, I probably spent more time in there than was fair to Ledja yet she never seemed to experience any inconvenience with such.
Hospitality: There was a night in particular that I came home and she was in the living room; I sat with her and for at least 30 minutes we laughed hysterically like old friends! It felt like having a roommate, like it was my home too, and that we were just spending time together.
Traveling as a single woman: I am a young and petite woman and the space, neighborhood, accommodations, etc. were ones that I not once felt anything other than confident and at ease in.
Privacy: When I was in the bedroom, I felt like I was on my own island. It felt more like I was staying in an apartment then renting a room, except for when I wanted to interact, which then, Ledja was a total treat to have stayed with.
