Our stay with Roy was fantastic! Roy's place is beautiful and so peaceful. We hung out by the pool lots and played with Roy's dog, Lucas, who is an absolute sweetheart. Roy made us amazing breakfasts every morning and we loved chatting with him; he is so friendly and he made sure we were really well taken care of. When we wanted to go into town, it was a really easy walk, or a very cheap taxi ride. San Juan del Sur was a great town to explore and Roy gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant that was so good we ended up eating there twice! I highly recommend staying with Roy when you come to San Juan, we loved our stay and hope to go back!!

Roy’s place was a spot of luxury for my friend and I as we had been staying in hostels previously. The place and the pool were very clean, there’s an amazing viewing deck where we watched the sunset, we were served the best breakfasts we’ve had in Central America! It is walkable to the beach but we tended to treat ourselves to a taxi which cost 40 cordobas each way for 2 of us which is very reasonable, and it was easy to flag a taxi down straight away at any time. It was nice to be somewhere quiet and peaceful but only a few minutes away from the beach and restaurants. We had a fridge/freezer and microwave in our room which was very useful for storing bottles of water and snacks. The guys who were looking after the place were very friendly and helpful and gave us our own space. Roy was flexible with check in and check out and always replied as quickly as he could when I contacted him. I would highly recommend staying at Roy’s.
