Fantastic escape from the hustle and bustle of work life. Genuinely quiet and peaceful surroundings and truly relaxing accommodations. Highly recommend Richard's place for anyone seeking time away in WV, especially if you plan on staying there for the duration. Richard's place is fully stocked, convenient, cozy and private. We did a lot of cooking for family dinners and being able to have them outside on screened-in porch made it all the more magical.

The setting is unbelievable! Day or night its so quiet you can hear a pin drop. The screened in porch is perfect to eat a meal, play board games or just to sit and rock. House is beautiful, kitchen has everything, showers are all nice. The local restaurants all have excellent comfort food. Thoroughly enjoyed the long weekend of peace. Thanks Richard

We loved our stay! Richard was a fantastic host, very responsive to our questions and had great local recommendations. We spent hours by the fireplace, and enjoying the screened in porches. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend. Wardensville is just 20 minutes away and has anything you might need to pick up. We enjoyed lunch at Mack’s and visiting the glassworks and markets. We can’t wait to come back!

It was a gorgeous getaway with everything anyone would need to isolate with peace and quiet in the mountains. The house and surrounding area was absolutely beautiful and Richard was very responsive and helpful. Would loved to come back at some point in the future.
