Like many Bermudians of my generation I grew up working in the hospitality business during summer holidays. I was fascinated by the bed and breakfast places I saw in Vermont while I was in college. After over 33 years in Bermuda's public service, first as a police officer and later as a senior manager and prompted by the sudden and unexpected death of my mother earlier this year,I decided to make a reality of my dream of owning a bed and breakfast myself.
