Sofia's apartment is outstanding. Most apartments on AirBnB are listed by a "manager", who manages a ton of properties. But, Sophia is the actual owner of the apartment and she is incredibly hands on & responsive (probably the best I've experienced in Argentina). We've spent over a year the last 5 years renting AirBnBs in Argentina (primarily Buenos Aires). So we know the city and the process well.
Sophia's apartment excels in a lot of ways. First, it is completely SILENT at night. In Bs As, it's rare to find an apartment that doesn't have a lot of street noise, especially in the heart of the city. But you can't hear a thing from any of the bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms, the office and the living room also all have A/C units. The 3rd bedroom, which is the old maid's quarters, as well as the kitchen, don't have A/C. IMO, the 3rd bedroom is unusable Jan - Mar and June - Aug for this reason, b/c you're either going to be way too hot or way too cold. We used the office as our 3rd bedroom, which worked out well for our toddlers. The single bed in the maid's quarters could easily be moved in there as well. It's light & small.
On the whole, we loved our 6 day stay at Sophia's place. It's an outstanding size (much larger than is the norm in Bs As). You are a close walk to great restaurants, grocery stores, and fun sites in Retiro & Recoletta. The apartment is well stocked and everything worked well (though we didn't try to use the washing machine). Best of all is Sophia, who legitimately wants her guests to enjoy her apartment and their time in the city. She was responsive every time we reached out.
