Travelled with my wife and 9m old baby. Booked for a month.

The place was accurately described except that it was incredibly dirty - animal hairs all over the couch and in the bathroom, stained rugs that were not vacuumed for a while, cigarette butts on the floor stained mattress with no protector, dust all around, and a giant cockroach on day one in the living room. Internet not working. Likely there were bedbugs as both my wife and I ended up with body rashes on the following day.

We raised the issues with the host on day one and all we got back is that we should take it up with AirBnb. Which is what we did. Prior to that, I asked David - the host - for a refund (less the time we spent there) and he was unwilling to even ask why we want to move out immediately. Did not offer to come and inspect the place either.

We ended up sending detailed pics and videos to Airbnb and got our money back less $500. We moved out less than 24hrs after we moved in. Terrible deal. Stay away.

We are not like David's other guests. We live about three blocks away. Renovations at our apartment made living there impossible so my husband, my cat and I moved in. Everything David says about location is spot on. Want to go to the theater? You can walk. Restaurants, tons. Does your taste run to seeing Drew Barrymore? She tapes at the CBS Broadcast Center across the street. Walking to some museums is possible. For transportation the Uptown (north/south) bus is on 10th. The Crosstown (east/west) is on the corner of 57th. Major subways are within a couple of blocks. The people in the building were quite friendly. There's a charming little wine/beer bar six steps from the front door and coffee is on the corner.
Because the reno took longer than expected, I kept extending. It became our reno refuge for more than two months. Each time I extended, David replied very promptly. As I told David in every email, "It's all good at 4A".

Nice apartment, but not a lot of light. Stayed there in December and the apartment was too hot - no way to control the heat. It’s nice that there is a kitchen and separate living room.
