It was a lovely area! Close but just far enough from activities of the Dells, Mauston, and surrounding towns.
Rose was very accommodating! As we thought we would need to check in early, she agreed to 2 hours, more than I dreamed would be possible!
Idlewild did have a dog smell in the living room area.
We all slept well, comfy beds.
The showers/tubs were very slick and could use some non-slip material as I “skated” down the tub. The single shower was also very slick and could use some non-slip material for safety.
Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided but there was not enough for 9 people to use for 2 days. Just take extra with you. Many people carry their own anyway.
We are looking at returning to do some of the hiking and other activities they had listed.
Overall it was a pleasant stay, just some housekeeping that is easily fixed.

great setup with a lot to do. everyone was really friendly and helpful and we were there when we didnt even have all of the amenities like the pool because it was too cold. can't wait to come back next summer! perfect for the whole family even the dog!

2nd Visit to the flying Z and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything here is as described and I highly recommend this place. Only suggestion would be to update the outdoor grill since most people who book will be larger groups and families that would use this.
