It was a great pleasure to stay in Stable End cottage. I can only endorse previous reviews, everything as expected. Top class furniture and fittings, comfortable bed, good shower, plenty of well planned space and very peaceful surroundings. The only surprise was the farm track when you turn off the main access road, but easily negotiated without any problem.
Ruth came out to greet on arrival, helping with luggage and even getting the TV onto the right channels for me. It was a good base for the nature reserves that I wanted to visit especially the new reserve being created by the coast at Sandilands by the National Trust. It is work in progress at present but will be very special when completed. Horncastle is a great place for antique enthusiasts with a host of antique shops. The Aviation Heritage centre at East Kirkby is close by to experience life at the airfield in World War Two. Also lots of information leaflets in the cottage for things to do and places to visit

We liked the look of the stables on the website, we were certainly not disappointed, it was spotless, great situation for walking. We could not fault it.
Ruth was the perfect host.

A totally lovely cottage. A peaceful, quiet location. Completely private.
A lot of thought had gone in to ensure everything was just right - throws, coasters, soft fluffy towels, high quality bed linen.
Then Ruth went the extra mile with a thoughtful goodies basket which made a very welcome afternoon tea as soon as we arrived.
We would definitely stay here again. The Lincolnshire Wolds were just lovely and travelling around was unhurried and so easy from the cottage. A 10 out of 10.

Ruth was a lovely host who made me and my girlfreind feel right at home as soon as we arrived she was very helpful in letting us know what to do and areas around to walk, the cottage was spotless and was very cozy. Would definitely stay again
