Taking a drive the west side to see the Waimea Canyon is a must! I suggest doing some hiking while you are there! It's best to leave really early in the morning so you can get there early. It's a full day...but totally worth it!

Waimea canyon, also known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific", is a must see spot on your trip to Kauaʻi. The canyon is 10 miles long and 3,000 feet deep, with waterfalls and wildlife that can be spotted. If you are lucky, you can catch a breath-taking view of a rainbow

Waimea Canyon is a must see. Try to go when the weather is decent to see the Kalalau valley and waterfalls. I will defer to the guidebooks for you to choose hikes to do. You can have an enjoyable time just driving up to the end of the paved road and working your way down. I suggest doing that because the lookouts at the top can get fogged in.

Waimea canyon is called the grand canyon of Hawaii. It is a drive to the other side of the island, maybe a little more than an hour and a half. stunning views and hiking.
